HOW IT WORKS
Praying God’s Word One Hour Each Week

Taking one focused hour each week to pray with others in agreement around God’s Word, is to encounter the transforming and liberating Power of Christ’s Presence in and through you by His Holy Spirit. How does it work?

ACTS: Focus, Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication

If you want to have effective, powerful conversations with God that result in breakthrough answers of prayer, it helps to become well acquainted with these essential “FACTS” or “ACTS” of prayer. They are invitations from God to cultivate and partner with Him in your mutual relationship and conversations.  You will fine tune your skills with regular practice.  We encourage that practice with one hour of prayer in a group each week.

JESUS ONLY SPOKE WHAT THE FATHER SAID TO HIM:

“For I did not speak of my own accord, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and how to say it. I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say” (John 12:49-50 NIV; also see John 8:28).

There is power and life in prayerfully declaring God’s Word out loud because God’s Word is a living and active entity with anyone and any realm it encounters.

That is why at WordPrayer - TRIMMS we provide intercessors with weekly themes of Scripture verses that we call the ACTS or FACTS verses. These verses serve as a Word focus for individual and group one hour prayer times. Over and over again they have proven effective in cultivating right attitudes for partnering with God in our spheres of influence by keeping us anchored in God’s Word.

Through His Word, God speaks to us and leads and instructs us how to pray His Kingdom onto earth as it is in heaven. His Word is never wasted:

“…so is my Word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it” (Isaiah 55:11 NIV).

The Word in us enables us to obey:

“…the Word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it”(Deut. 30:14 NIV).

DISCOVERING THE POWER

Who is your source of power? This list of awesome power of prayer Bible verses is meant to encourage you today. I pray that you read through these Bible verses and then take them to God in prayer. Ask God for the wisdom and discernment to teach you how He wants you to pray and for what He wants you to pray for. For a great Christian song check out the video to the right Shout to the Lord

Psalm 107:28-30

Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven,

Matthew 7:7

Ask, and it will be given to you seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

Matthew 21:22

And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”

Mark 9:29

And he said to them, “This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer.”

Mark 11:24

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

John 14:13-14

Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it

Acts 9:40

But Peter put them all outside, and knelt down and prayed; and turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up.

Ephesians 6:18

Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

James 5:14-16

Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

My prayer for you today is that you take these Bible verses you just read and do something with them. Too often we just take information in and then move on to the next project or thing. Use these awesome Bible Verses and put them into action by being obedient to what they teach!
